Associate member is the term used for undergraduate students interested in joining the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity and that have gone through the Ceremony of an Associate Member, commonly called "pinning." At the Beta Kappa Chapter, the Ceremony of an Associate Member is during the second week of new member education. Two more weeks of education will follow before an associate member is initiated. After initiation, associate members are considered active members.
